The Black Horse mine is on the Blood Indain Reservation on the St Mary's river, and is the oldest mine in Alberta.
The Blackhorse mine is owned and operated by Rocky Braverock, Ross Braverock, Calvin Blackhorse and Cameron
Spearchief and is a family run organisation.
This mine started as a coal mine in 1894 over 100 years later years later it is run by his grandson, still
digging in the ground.
Rocky and his family has many memories of playing with ammonites as a child rolling them down hills in races.
